Diesel Portraits

In 2007 and 2008 Fiona was commissioned by Diesel UK Managing Director, Riccardo Bellini to create a series of portraits of their 100 staff members. Participants were invited to bring a ‘prop’ or possession of personal significance and the images were made in to postcards and business cards that were displayed in their office.

Staff members entered into the spirit of things and the MD for example was photographed as Che Guevara and Captain Hook.  They had a blast, enjoyed having their hair and make up done with everyone on the team enjoying a bit of the ‘limelight’.  Accountants, receptionists, postroom, heads of departments, MD etc all being made to feel like an integral cog on the wheel of their company.

It gave the team a sense of empowerment and a chance to show off some of their creative side, and it enabled everyone to get more than just a snapshot of each other and gave our visitors some added ingredients.“
